ILIMANU MARBLE IN VERONA FIERE

Following the launching of the Ilimanu Marble Study on 1^st March 2018 in Beheda area adjacent to the marble study location, Autoridade Nacional do Petróleo e Minerais (ANPM) took the Ilimanu marble and other ornamental stones including limestone of various colours and amphibolite from Timor-Leste to Marmomac Fiere in Verona, Italy as part of effort to assess general market interest on these ornamental stones.

The four days event, 26^th – 29^th September, open for buyers, sellers and general public, showcase exhibitors from different business chain including service providers, equipment providers, quarry operators with various products to offer.

During the opening day, Ilimanu marble stand was visited by buyers from a number of countries including Egypt, Holland, Turkey, Malaysia, Marocco, India and Italy. It is expected that the event will further provide insight on the market attractiveness of the Ilimanu marble and other ornamental stones exhibit in the event.

Timor-Leste’s presence in the event was ANPM, IPG, and the Embassy of the Democratic Republic of Timor-Leste to the Holy See as well as representatives from Resource Futures pty Ltd.
